Repairs.

So it's been a productive month thus far, but it's lead us to a point where something had to go wrong! My amp needs a servicing and revalving by the sounds. Cocco's amp on the other hand has kaput completely.

He's had issues with it previously and we thought they were resolved, until last week in rehearsal. It seems to be shorting the power fuse every time a fresh one is inserted. So our resident technician will be having a look at both amps.
On the guitar front Kyle has purchased a new Telecaster Standard!
I'll need both my Guitars looked at and will be having barrel jack inputs fitted in both as it seems to be the only design flaw.

So in two weeks time we head back up to the fantastic cottage to continue writing some new songs that will feature on our bootleg E.P that we intend on putting out before the album! I'm yet to find time to edit the footage from the Studio and our last visit to the cottage.
I'm sure i will get my arse into gear very soon!

We have one show booked this summer and that will be it until the E.P and album are all ready to go, the preparation for the releases will be extensive so we have to get our priorities in order.

We played a home show last weekend, and it was fantastic, our engineer Sean Hales recorded the whole show and it was pretty cool to hear everything back, we will be recording our show with Funeral For A Friend and hopefully will be able to feature some of the tracks on the bootleg.
So all is well in the Rome and we hope to be able to update you lovely people that take time to read this more frequently!

We also had a fabulous photo shoot with a Mr Matthew Davies-Kreye of a certain band, you may have heard of them!

Here is the man at work;

the pictures look awesome so far and we can't wait to share them with you!

Cinematic Scope.

So the past week has been very busy for us and we have never been so excited to inform you all about it!

Last week saw us return to the studio to re-begin recording Vocals for our debut album, we hit Long Wave Recording Studio on Thursday July 16th and began tracking vocals.
Day one was an incredible success, getting 4 vocal tracks down was such a relief, my voice held out well. Friday saw Day Two kick off with Kyle tracking his vocals first to give me a break. Kyle then had to shoot off from the studio to go congratulate himself in successfully passing his University Course and had to go Graduate with his fellow students!

I maintained the level I had achieved in day one and finished the entire album by 5PM.

Shortly after that myself and Cocco headed to our rehearsal lock up and loaded the van for our very first show in Hobo's and our return to our home town!

We loaded in to Hobo's at around 4:30PM quick set up and sound check, the line up was a fantastic, featuring probably some of the best bands in South Wales at the moment. (Cuba Cuba, Tiger Please & Straight Lines).
We went on stage at around 10PM and had a fantastic show, the crowd, the vibe were outstanding, in a celebration to finishing our album we got very merry afterwards. Thanks to everyone that came out to see us play and those who still support local music week in week out!

All we await now is a slot to finish the gang vocals on the record which will be very soon, and then a release date!
We are heading back to the cottage for a longer stretch during August & September to begin tracking the E.P!

Here are some, not many pics from Long Wave:

Titles & Bookings.

Currently lapping up the sunshine in my living room, watching the Ashes.
I'm a bit of a sucker for Cricket I must admit.
Anyway we finally have some interesting news, if it doesn't excite you enough yet we definitely are over the moon about it.
We have had indication that we will be resuming the recording of our debut album which is still untitled! We are having a brain storming session over the next week, all four of us have been given the task of coming up with some titles.

On the recording side, Romesh is currently going through his diary looking for some dates to finalise this epic recording process.
We are very excited to finally be moving forward with this!

In other news we have re-booked time back at the Cottage in West Wales, where we are to continue where we left off with the writing process.
This said writing process has fuelled the idea of recording and releasing a bootleg E.P ourselves.
We'll be putting this release out and will be running the release in CD, Digital and Vinyl form.
This release will be very limited and it will be in aid of getting some songs for you to be able to purchase and have in your collection!

Given this period in between the completion of our album and its release we will be bringing this E.P out, songs are being chosen and finished at the moment.
It's a bit of a treat it will feature album B-sides along with future A-side tracks that we have been writing.

We have some shows coming up, first is @ Hobo's, Bridgend on Saturday 18th July. With our good friends in Tiger Please, Cuba Cuba & Straight Lines. This show is free, it's already had an overwhelming response so get down early if you intend on coming!

Here are some pictures from our endeavours in the cottage:

Peace!
